The Opportunity:

Do you want to develop training that will transform defense? As an instructional designer, and developer, you know that even the best tools and processes can't have impact without the right training. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer and developer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in defense by crafting effective training.

On our team, you'll work with SMEs, instructors, product designers, client teams and users to capture training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission or goals. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you'll design synchronous, asynchronous material, or performance support tools. You'll build training material with multimedia specialists, graphic artists, instructors, and SMEs, following the ADDIE model. You'll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You'll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including video based training, microlearning, blended learning, simulations and demos, gamification to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you'll meet with SMEs, instructors, client teams, users, system developers and designers. Throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you'll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies including the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you'll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students. You Have:

  • Experience with instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, and eLearning development

  • Experience with project and task management

  • Knowledge of design and development tools, including Articulate, Captivate, and Camtasia

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of Navy-specific learning processes

  • Knowledge of learning content management systems

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Technologies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,900.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
