Position Summary
The Summer Program Nurse provides first aid and minor medical care to children in the program as necessary, manage all student medical forms and medical administration forms, and ensure that program has sufficient first aid supplies. The Summer Program Nurse will also help ensure that health safety practices are being followed and maintained, with support from the Director of Operations and Executive Director.
This is a temporary, seasonal position which begins on Monday, June 17th, 2024, and concludes on Monday, July 29th, 2024.
Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, however we can be flexible
Job Responsibilities
· Maintain all student medical forms and records
· Notify teachers, staff and food service of any allergies or other conditions
· Provide first aid to students as necessary
· Manage emergency medical situations that may arise with students
· Uphold and oversee health safety practices and protocols are being maintained to highest standard
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the ideal candidate is experienced educator:
· Certified in CPR and First Aide and administration of medication including epi-pens.
· Recent Nursing School Graduate, School Nurse, or Nursing student who has completed clinicals.
· Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
· Extremely high integrity and confidentiality
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Experience working with children and/or in a school or camp setting
· Dedication to Horizons at CTSN mission
· Bilingual- English/Spanish language proficient (preferred)

Pay: $5,800.00 per month
