The Southampton Geometry and Topology Group is offering a postdoctoral position in symplectic topology, starting in the autumn of 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake research under Cheuk Yu Mak within a Royal Society-funded project to investigate symplectic topology and its interaction with low dimensional topology, mirror symmetry, and geometric representation theory.

The University of Southampton (UK) is home to the Centre for Geometry, Topology, and Applications, a large research group in geometry and topology. The Group currently comprises 18 staff members (Arman Darbinyan, Armando Martino, Ashot Minasyan, Bernhard Koeck, Cheuk Yu Mak, Daniel Kasprowski, Graham Niblo, Ian Leary, Jacek Brodzki, Jan Spakula, Jelena Grbic, Jim Anderson, Jim Renshaw, Nansen Petrosyan, Nick Wright, Ruben Sanchez-Garcia, Shintaro Nishikawa, and Stephen Theriault).
