The Science Education Institute at RVCC is looking for a part-time Manager of Education Programs. The Science Education Institute supports K-12 teachers and school districts with the implementation of the New Jersey Science Standards. The Institute conducts workshops at RVCC and in-district. The Institute also provides Starlab (portable planetarium) training and rentals.

Essential Duties:

Workshop Preparation:

• Managing of workshop advertising, registrations, invoicing, and payments
• Communication with teachers and school districts
• Preparation of handouts and other workshop materials and supplies
• Managing workshop logistics (food, rooms, AV)

Workshop Support:

• Room setup
• Participant greeting and sign-in
• Managing daily logistics, breakfast, and lunch
• Supporting tables as needed

Starlab Rental and Training Program:

• Carrying out ongoing maintenance of 5 Starlabs (Portable Planetarium)
• Preparing Starlabs for rental
• Managing Starlab reservations and pickups/drop offs of Starlabs
• Supporting Starlab trainings

Job Requirements:

Associate's degree required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Prior Administrative experience and/or K-12 education experience is preferred.
