Job Description

The ITS Department of the Long Beach Community College District is seeking a highly qualified individual for a current opportunity as a Project Manager, Educational and Multimedia Technologies! This incumbent will need to have specialized professional knowledge of adult learning methods, in-depth knowledge of the multimedia and technologies available that enhance communications, meetings, and the pedagogy of instruction and have knowledge of the uses of the newest technologies. We are looking for someone who has obtained a Bachelor's degree in education, information technology, or the equivalent. Additionally, these candidates must have five (5) years of multimedia and instructional technology classroom and administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION

  • Type of position: Full Time

  • Location: Liberal Art Campus, but will support both campuses

  • Salary: MGT RANGE 9: $98,668 - $134,436/ Annually.

  • Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Eligibility list: We reserve the right to use an established eligibility list for vacancies in this classification. The eligibility list be valid for 12 months once approved by the Personnel Commission.

Duties

 

GENERAL PURPOSE


Plans, develops, and implements projects and systems for multimedia and education technology solutions supporting administration, curriculum, and delivery of instruction. Integrates educational technologies, multimedia systems, and training into the design and implementation of projects to continuously improve service delivery.

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education, information technology, or the equivalent, and five (5) years of multimedia and instructional technology classroom and administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
Requires a valid driver's license.

Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.

  • If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days (~3 months) to test again for the same classification.
