We are seeking several qualifiedMultimedia Designer/Developer I in the Virginia Beach, VA, Austin, TX, San Diego, CA, or Washington, DC areas. Other geographic locations are possible.

Position Description:
Audio Visual I (Multimedia Designer/Developer I) will be part of a team of nine staff members that are tasked with developing the media materials as part of the overall training and instruction effort for the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System. This effort supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) which is part of the larger Naval Sea Systems Command. The NSWC PHD mission is to provide research, development, test and evaluation, and in-service engineering and logistics support to the United States Navy (USN), other military services, and government agencies. Its focus areas include combat systems, unmanned systems, surface ship systems, and information system.
Work location and telework: Work location is flexible while not required to be working controlled or classified materials. Work from home is possible when not required to be onsite, conducting training or needing access to classified or controlled materials.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help Create Interactive Multimedia Instruction as part of a team
- Interactive Courseware (ICW) and Multi-Media Tutorials (MMT). ICW provides self-paced tutorials that are used to supplement and/or provide refresher training.
- MMTs are short training presentations that focus on one specific topic or procedure.
- Curriculum Development:
- Help create comprehensive training programs tailored to specific client needs, including lesson plans, scenarios, and assessments based on industry best practices and relevant legal guidelines.
- Create graphics and videos for marketing and various communicative activities
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts and provide constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent documented training
- 3 Years or more of experience developing multimedia instructional and marketing material
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance
- Ability to work well with others to produce media products
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in arts or related degree with multimedia production
- Experience working on training and marketing materials
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Travel Requirements:
- Limited or no travel required
