Fueled by a $130 million investment from the state of Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), we drive EV tech and talent by uniting researchers, educators and industry leaders to tackle challenges and expand opportunities in transitioning to vehicle electrification. this section we describe the unit/research center and overview of position.

We are looking for a candidate to work closely with other staff, faculty and graduate students to conduct research on lightweighting and EMI shields battery electric vehicles as well as mentoring students.

Responsibilities*

We are seeking an Assistant Research Scientist that will conduct and lead research in the area of lightweighting and EMI shielding battery electric vehicles.  The candidate will have the responsibility for research which will include design, preparation and modeling of materials to accomplish the desired goal.  This position will interact with other researchers and provide mentorship and guidance in the research lab to students and research fellows.  This individual must have the capability to assess, analyze and present research findings through presentations and publications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pursue external funding opportunities to further research in this area.
