Job Description
This position coordinates dual enrollment programming and special projects within the Academic Affairs division.
As the Dual Enrollment Specialist, the role:
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop dual-enrollment course offerings
- Supports HCC faculty teaching dual-enrolled students in high school classrooms, on campus, and online
- Conducts outreach to dual-enrollment partners
- Creates materials and communications related to dual enrollment
- Tracks shared documents and agreements between HCC and partner schools
As the Special Projects Specialist, this position:
- Coordinates project development, including planning, budgeting, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring progress
Additionally, the role is responsible for:
- Providing informed recommendations, training, and professional development related to dual enrollment and assigned projects
- Maintaining all materials and records related to dual enrollment and special projects
- Serving as the primary point of contact for dual enrollment and special projects
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience
2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management and or managing dual enrollment programs or educational partnerships.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Experience with dual enrollment
- Experience delivering training to diverse audiences
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in using student information systems
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Sign
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future
- 2 years’ work experience at a community college, preferably in Academic Affairs
- Experience teaching in a high school or college environment
Hours per Week
40 - 100%
General Weekly Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Final schedule to be determined by the supervisor.
