We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer at the technician level to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network Interior Communication Engineering systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement network solutions that meet organizational needs.
• Conduct regular network assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network-related issues.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in network technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols.
• Familiarity with shipboard network security practices.
• Experience with shipboard network monitoring tools and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with shipboard networking and Interior Communication Voice and Video Engineering Systems.
• Familiarity or able to learn scripting languages for network automation.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $52/hr-72/hr, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
