Summary of Job Duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting field and greenhouse-based research.
- Conducting laboratory-based experiments, including compound extraction and identification using standard and radiolabeled herbicides.
- Organizing and analyzing data, writing, and presenting research results in peer-reviewed journals and extension publications.
- Complete on-going projects.
- Design, conduct, and publish new experiments relevant to the project director’s research in improving herbicide performance.
- Presenting results at scientific meetings.
- Supervise graduate students in data collection, sample preparation, report writing, and preparation of presentations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in weed science or chemistry and demonstrated publication record are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience in plant physiology is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
