Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week

 

Pay Range: $20.02 - $25.77 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Perform a variety of administrative support duties for Continuing Education (CE) for Johnson County Community College (JCCC) to ensure office operations run smoothly and efficiently. Create and maintain files, compile reports, and manage, store, and disseminate information, ensuring information security and compliance. Communicate with all levels of staff, students, clients, external vendors, and leadership. Provide support for approximately 300 open enrollment cases per term.

Required Qualifications:

  • Required an associates degree and 3+ years of related experience.
  • May assist less-experienced team members.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the preparation and execution of open enrollment classes in multiple program areas within CE.
  • Provide administrative support and customer service to staff and instructors and assist in resolving conflicts.
  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies and maintain sensitive and privileged information confidentiality.
  • Perform ongoing process improvement, including running various reports and streamlining procedures. - (Essential)
  • Process payments and invoices for instructors, order and maintain supplies, and research optimal pricing to remain within the budgetary guidelines.
  • Determine what courses need to be confirmed or canceled based on minimum enrollment and goals of the division.
  • Submit attendance reports to the appropriate licensing boards, input information into various vendor databases, and assist with audit processes.
  • Provide backup and support to other areas within CE, including administrative assistants and the testing center.
  • Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
