Job Description
DESCRIPTIONUnder direction of the Practice Manager, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient procedures, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - issued by the state of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands, exercise independent judgement and work in a team environment.
- Current or previous experience in a Gastroenterology department.
Two (2) or more years of experience in patient care support, administering medication, and patient transport.
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $82,601 - $82,601 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $39.56 - $39.56
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
