Position Summary

Summer internship providing a unique view of the Communications department of a major international arts institution. This is a 40-hour per week internship, approximately 8 weeks in duration.

Rodgers internships are for students currently enrolled in a degree program at Williams College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).

Starting Salary: $17.00/hour

Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Write, create, and coordinate content and images/video for posting to social media, website, and other platforms.
  • Manage various social networking platforms to promote Clark exhibitions, events, activities, etc.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and distributing press releases for exhibitions, lectures, concerts, and other special events as assigned.
  • Proofread and copyedit Clark publications and related ephemera according to Clark and Chicago styles.
  • Manage regular postings on Clark website to promote upcoming events, activities, etc.
  • Assist with a press list through online data base system, maintain press clipping books, and prepare media summaries as directed.
  • Assist with promotional activities/events related to the Clark, its exhibitions, and its role in the community.
  • Assist in promoting Clark events/programs through multiple channels/calendars that promote tourism to the state and region.
  • Assist with preparation of press materials and press clippings in support of departmental efforts.
  • Assist with providing content and updating digital applications managed by the Clark or in which the Clark is a participant. 


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training, and Skills
Applicants must be college students at Williams College or Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).

Work Experience
Some work experience preferred.
