The Principal Program Manager - Marketing Strategy is responsible for developing and implementing strategic messaging and marketing plans aligned with company objectives across public relations, brand marketing, and communications. They work with the Executive Leadership Team to implement and execute a messaging strategy to maximize exposure and increase brand awareness in core and growth markets, across the education and workplace segments (i.e. business and public sector). This role will be critical in developing and driving the right exposure in the right places, increasing brand awareness, and engaging stakeholders within all segments and on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing and messaging strategy encompassing public relations, social, brand marketing, and communications strategies.
  • Create marketing and communication plans tailored to support company priorities, incorporating key messages and content to maximize positive exposure and enhance brand awareness in core and growth markets.
  • Serve as a liaison between messaging planning and delivery, ensuring alignment with and between Marketing Leadership directives.
  • Manage a program for Marketing teams to effectively engage customers and stakeholders by communicating our product and brand messaging.
  • Amplify the voice of the company through proactive outreach initiatives aimed at securing media coverage and increasing market awareness.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and speaking engagements to further promote Promethean's brand and mission.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform communication strategies and adapt messaging accordingly.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of efforts through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Holds a key role in the planning and development of go-to-market brand storytelling campaigns and a global calendar which defines marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product & Brand Marketing and Marketing Program Management to set strategic priorities, and ensure all plans are integrated and aligned to strategy.
  • Works with Program Managers on the development of campaigns aligning to campaign strategy as defined by marketing leadership.
  • Work with cross functional teams and agencies responsible for public relations, social media, campaigns & content, and competitive intelligence.
  • Oversee the communication of official external and internal company messaging, including global public relations, social media, and campaign content.
  • Oversee global persona-based content creation in line with our inbound marketing strategy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in related industry.
  • Proven track record of measurable success in developing and executing marketing strategies that build brand awareness and positive sentiment through modern marketing activities.
  • Strong understanding of public relations, brand marketing, and communications principles, with the ability to translate company objectives into actionable plans.
  • A proven storyteller, with a record of accomplishment of developing engaging content - including brief writing and providing feedback on creative concepts.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and identify opportunities for brand exposure and engagement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments to achieve common goals.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools and platforms to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and optimize strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.
  • Customer-centric and can identify and meet customer needs.
Base Range: $145,000 - $190,000 + Bonus Eligible

For business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
