The Raclin Murphy Museum of Art strives to create positions for students to work closely with a specific Museum department while allowing moments for broad learning of museum practice.
The Marketing and PR assistant will work directly with our Communications Program Director to assist with day-to-day communication needs that help promote exhibitions and programs at the Museum.
Projects/work assignments:
- Sending weekly promotional materials to community partners
- Assisting in day-to-day needs
Skills and knowledge that will be gained:
- Current marketing practices in museums
- Create engaging marketing materials
- Graphic design techniques
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Suite
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to write clearly and creatively
- Adaptable to various internet platforms
Preferred Qualifications
*Applicants who are also interested in the Associate Director’s Office and Research Assistant position (4–6 hours/week) can apply for both of these positions and work a total of 10–14 hours/week at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art.
