Position Summary
Reporting to the Bepler Chair Professor of Chemistry, the Postdoctoral Research
Scientists will perform computational research and software development to
support research and development of new f-element separation methods
supported by the Department of Energy.
Essential Functions
∙ Performs computational research, software development, and data
processing to support research and development of new lanthanide and
actinide separation methods.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
∙ Ph.D. or equivalent degree/experience in Chemistry, Chemical
Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
∙ Experience in scientific computer programming
∙ Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to
the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
∙ Experience with Python.
∙ Experience with f-element chemistry and/or separation science.
∙ Experience with machine learning methods for chemistry.
∙ Experience with SQL and flask for web database development.
∙ Experience with computational modeling.
Minimum Starting Salary: $65,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $67,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
FLSA: Exempt
