Adjunct Faculty - Director of the Handbell Choir
Position Description
The Department of Performance Studies at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor – Director of the Handbell Choir – for the Fall Semester, 2024, beginning Thursday, September 5.
Position Requirements
- Master of Music Degree
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Advanced ringing skills;
- Recruiting, selecting and teaching a handbell choir;
- Working with an extended range of handbells (7 Octaves) and Choirchime Instruments;
- Choosing appropriate and diverse repertoire;
- Handbell assignments using an extended range of instruments;
- Care and maintenance of handbell instruments; and
- Maintaining a handbell music library
The candidate should be active in the Handbell community.
For the first year, no touring or traveling will be required.
