Receptionist Keck School of Medicine San Diego, California

The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of an expert panel of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) through innovative clinical trials.

ATRI is looking for a receptionist who will provide front desk support as well as administrative support to senior management and staff. The position will manage the front desk reception area and main phone line along with the following duties:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process travel reimbursements
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Establish and maintain office filing systems
  • Maintain and update administrative databases, compile data, create reports, and distribute information among ATRI management
  • Prepare technical material such as manuscripts, abstracts, and reviews for scientific journals, scientific presentations for lectures and national meetings
  • Compile graphs, tables and other scientific data using computers for slides, charts, manuscripts and grants
  • Organize meetings, conferences and event coordination.

The receptionist will be required to independently analyze, organize and prioritize daily support activities as well as review, evaluate and rank all requests and communications to Sr. Management. Using tact, organizational skills, flexibility, and discretion, participate in special projects as assigned and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the day-to-day activities of the Institute.

Location: San Diego, CA

The hourly rate range for this position is $18.65 - $22.76. Minimum Education: Less than high school, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 6 - 12 months, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience as a receptionist or comparable clerical experience.
