Job Description

 

The Program Developer is responsible for organizing, developing, implementing, and administering programs and services tailored to meet the needs of business and industry, the government sector, non-profit organizations, and the public. This person reports to the Dean of Arts & Humanities and serves as the primary contact with external organizations or individuals regarding college services. This position collaborates with faculty and staff at LCCC to ensure relevancy of course and program curriculum, leading to student success in the Arts & Humanities upon graduation.

This is a grant funded position.

Job Duties: Designs, develops, promotes, and operates programs and services offered through the Arts & Humanities division of the college; Provides needs assessment and analysis within the appropriate service area; Identifies organizations, companies, and individuals with expertise as possible resources; Prepares and mails brochures, fliers, posters, and other promotional materials; Prepares and submits informational inputs concerning programs to the director of marketing/recruitment and media relations; Develops customized program proposals tailored to student and employer needs, including a recommended budget, and provides program management; Interfaces with appropriate internal and external personnel at all levels; Schedules meetings and represents the Dean in matters related to project management; Recruits, recommends and orients students into the relevant programs; Responds to student and client inquiries; Manages all program logistics, including scheduling; Maintains records of programs conducted; Serves as liaison with external organizations, business, and government; Represents the institution in the national, state, and local professional communities; Develops grant proposals and administers grants as needed; Organizes appropriate advisory committees, as required; Develops co-curricular opportunities for Arts & Humanities students in the grant cohort; Interacts with other members of the college community in areas of mutual concern; Participates in the division's planning process; Collaborates with Business Growth Services and Career Services to develop promote students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to employers; Performs other tasks as assigned by the Dean.

The salary is commensurate with experience and supported by a comprehensive fringe benefits package starting at $64,982.
