Job Description:
The Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University invites applications for a position of Professor of the Practice in Business Law at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level in the Management Department, beginning spring 2024. This is a non-tenure track fixed term renewable position with a teaching load of four courses each semester. Candidates must have completed a JD from an accredited law school. Candidates should have a primary focus on the fields of business law, environmental law, and labor law. They will have a strong commitment to teaching, with demonstrated experience and verified excellence in these fields at the undergraduate college level. They will also be required to demonstrate a facility in student academic advising. Those with an interest in pre-law advising are of particular interest. Additionally, applicants should have demonstrated experience in programmatic development. Strong applicants will be committed to: cross-disciplinary collaboration and collegiality; the development of innovative and creative classroom educational experience; a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom; service to the department, school of business, university, community and profession. A faculty member may teach at the Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus.
