Job Description

Washington County Community College is seeking applicants to fill the position of Early Childhood Education/Education Instructor, starting mid-August 2023. This position is on a day/evening schedule and teaches in both traditional and distance education (including online) settings.

 


This position will instruct and continue to develop the College’s Early Childhood Education/Education program. Responsible for oversight of curriculum creation and revision; classroom instruction; collaborate with department chair and management on course scheduling; student academic advising and student recruitment; management of program standards and assessment of program outcomes; establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleges, universities, and external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Early Childhood education or a closely related field with four (4) years of experience. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 6 years of experience will be considered. Strong communications and interpersonal skills are essential to this position. The right candidate must have a broad experience working with children; a thorough knowledge of cognitive development and brain-based research; familiarity with state licensing requirements; and development of distance learning. Other credentials and significant experience may be considered.

 


Salary Range: 
MEA Faculty Unit $42,767 to $60,976.74 salary commensurate with credentials and experience. Position beginning mid-August.
