Other minimum qualifications

  • Minimum education is a high school diploma.
  • Two years of office experience or two years of specialized training or higher education or any combination of experience and higher education equal to two years.
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures and use of electronic equipment as required by department.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UNH systems such as BANNER, WEBI, Xtender.
Knowledge of Drupal and/or other website editing software.

Salary Information

Starting hourly rate is commensurate with experience and complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.
Minimum – 16.05/hour
Midpoint – 20.27/hour
Starting salary is normally between the minimum and midpoint.

Duty/Responsibility

Provide Academic Accreditation Support to the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program:
  • Assist faculty in assembling materials for accreditation reviews/compliance.
  • Update contracts with partner institutions.
  • Course workbook/packet preparation.
  • Correspond with USNH Contract Manager as needed.
  • Maintain student records.
  • Coordinate undergraduate student registration for MLS students and assign permissions in Banner as needed.
  • Assist student interns as needed.

Duty/Responsibility

Faculty/Academic Support:
  • Provide information to students and faculty by performing on-line data inquiries utilizing Excel, Banner and WebIntelligence.
  • Provide/update information for special reports using charts, graphs and tables.
  • Prepare, proof and submit copy for Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs.
  • Update Course Materials/Announcements.
  • Assist faculty with the management of course/departmental materials through MyCourses, WebCat and MyElements.
  • Prepare and produce posters for students/faculty utilizing specialized poster printer.
  • Provide administrative support to MCBS 997 (Graduate Seminar) by preparing seminar announcements, providing refreshments, updating attendance records and other duties as needed.

Duty/Responsibility

General Office Duties:
  • Provide general assistance to students, faculty and the general public.
  • Reserve conference rooms and schedule meetings for faculty and staff.
  • Assist with faculty searches by providing logistical support to search committees.
  • Liaison with Registrar’s Office to reserve rooms for review sessions, proctoring needs and meetings.
  • Oversee departmental shipping/receiving by keeping a detailed inventory of all packages received on a daily basis; sort and distribute campus and U.S. mail.
  • Oversee operation of copy equipment, copy course materials.
  • Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Attend faculty meetings and record minutes.
  • Assist Department Manager and Chair with other duties as needed.

Duty/Responsibility

Technology Support:
  • Assist the College Web Communications Specialist in developing and maintaining the departmental website; update undergraduate curriculum requirements (majors/minors) and reference materials, events, and news items.
  • Serve as departmental liaison to IT staff.
  • Oversee operation/maintenance of equipment (A/V, LCD projectors, digital cameras, etc.).
  • Maintain electronic displays throughout building by gathering, soliciting and updating content and operating/maintaining equipment.
  • Coordinate Electronic SEED program for the Department.
