Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Research Group within the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research, is looking for a Postdoctoral Candidate. Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Research Group is a program dedicated to elucidating the pathophysiology and improving the diagnosis and management of hematopoietic diseases, such as leukemia. The program focuses on the molecular mechanisms that control normal hematopoietic stem cell function and how dysregulation can drive leukemia. The areas of interest are focused on the metabolic regulation of stem cell function and how it may contribute to leukemia therapy.
This position will conduct research on the molecular/cellular basis of hematopoietic stem cell and leukemia, as well as developing mouse models and performing functional analyses. This position will perform and/or oversee mechanistic studies of these biological processes both in vitro and in vivo. Also, will be required to collaborate with lab members and facilitate coordination of projects. Must be able to formulate hypotheses and independently design and troubleshoot experiments. Requires good written English skills.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree with strong research background in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology and/or Genetics.
