Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Job Summary: Coordinates with other members of a specialized scientifically-based exploration or study team to facilitate the conduct of biomedical research in the hospital. Manages various aspects of assigned hospital facilities for research purposes and monitors quality control and safety of research activities.
Specifications: The position requires Ph.D. in neuroscience/pharmacology/or related disciplines, expertise with in vivo animal experimentation and hands-on experience along with neuroscience expertise, familiarity with neuroscience bench work techniques including molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, antibody, protein production, and proven writing ability (MS will be considered). Experience with surgical procedures (Vannucci neonatal rat models), neurobehavioral, MRI, radioactive materials, data acquisition, and statistical analysis is preferred ADA: Manual dexterity and mobility required. While performing the major responsibilities of this position, the incumbent must be able to regularly sit, stand or walk, and occasionally reach for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, move and/or carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds, and occasionally be able to bend, stoop, crouch or kneel.
