The Gehan Lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri, has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral associate Candidates with experience in plant abiotic stress research or high-throughput plant phenomics are highly encouraged to apply. The Gehan laboratory actively engages the community through outreach and education activities, and lab members are encouraged to participate in mentoring and teaching programs. Responsibilities:

  • Ability to direct ones own research efforts as well as to critique project strategy
  • Ability to demonstrate project leadership and guidance for other research associates or graduate students as necessary
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Effective communication in both written and oral form
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Qualifications:
PhD in plant biology, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related field.
