    Join us (Das group) at the University of Houstonto work on an array of exciting and novel imaging projects that combine opticalphysics and engineering. Intended applications for our methods are biomedical imaging but the methods are useful in may areas such as defense/security, materials imaging and geophysics. We welcome applications from candidates withexperience in instrumentation, algorithm developmentorcomputational methodsin novel developments relatedto x-ray, computed tomography, photon countingdetectors (Medipix, Timepix), ultrasound imaging, elastography, microscopy, computational imaging, optical imaging, PET or SPECT.Image science, psychophysics and new machine techniques are also part of our group's ongoing research.In the next stage our lab will be moving some of the ideas towards preclinical and translational efforts as well. You will play an integral role andleadmultiplenew projects in our group.Some of our recent work has focused on x-ray phase contrast imaging and phase retrieval, photon counting detectors (CERN based like Medipix and Timepix), developing forward and inverse models for novel imaging concepts,spectral CT, X-ray spectroscopy, image texture analysis, image science, digital breast tomosynthesis and breast CT.     Qualifications

     Doctoral and No experience

    Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.No experience is required.

     
    Salary: 3,223.00 - 4,834.00
