The University of Florida’s College of Nursing, Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science is recruiting a creative and highly motivated individual with a training and innovative research focus in -omics (genome, microbiome, metabolome) statistical analytic techniques. The successful candidate will have an established record of research training, including post-doctoral training, strong quantitative research skills, refereed publications, and a beginning record of funded research. He/she will also have experience working with multi-disciplinary research teams. This is a twelve-month, non-tenure track accruing, 1.0 FTE, renewable annual contract faculty position in the College of Nursing.

The College of Nursing’s research portfolio increasingly encompasses multiple -omics factors in studies related to patient symptoms and quality of life across a wide range of conditions, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and wound healing. As a result, we are seeking an individual with knowledge of advanced biostatistical techniques, especially in the area of -omics analytic methods.

As part of UF Health, the University of Florida academic health center, the College of Nursing collaborates with five other health-related colleges and the UF Health family of hospitals, as well as clinical partners across the state, such as the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. Collaborative research projects are also ongoing between UF College of Nursing faculty and UF centers such as the Cancer Center, Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence, and the Center for Aging.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in statistics or related field. Strong quantitative research background and excellent writing skills are required. Post-doctoral training required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Participation on funded research team is preferred.
