Job Summary
The Program Manager of the Center for Health Equity (CHE) provides operational leadership and support in the planning, oversight and execution of key initiatives and projects that build efficiencies, strengthen integration, and enhances the value of CHE within and outside the enterprise. This individual is a strong facilitative leader who supports the AVP Center for Health Equity in executing strategic objectives and internal improvements through identification and leadership of key initiatives that advance the mission of CHE and of the enterprise overall.
Job Responsibilities
  • Strategy/Program Management Support
  • In partnership with the AVP CHE, develop and evaluate new work processes and projects that are multidisciplinary and leverage the key partnerships within the Center. Lead planning and execution to integrate the programs and services across the enterprise.
  • Provide program management for CHE initiatives, including staff, policies, procedures, and strategies, in partnership with CHE teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide support for cross-center initiatives and projects aimed at improving effectiveness and integrating work and processes across CHE teams.
  • Oversee internal quality improvement and operational effectiveness efforts across CHE
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within CHE based on feedback and evolving needs, with a goal of building improvement capability and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Promote a data-driven culture at all levels, guiding the development and application of insightful, actionable, and standardized analytics as a crucial decision-making resource.
  • Work with the AVP CHE and the CHE leadership team to ensure ongoing evaluation and evolution of the services and the portfolio to meet the changing needs of the organization and the environment.
  • Continuously improve all aspects of process to increase efficiencies and reduce redundancies, including intake, prioritization, publication, and assessment assume leadership role in the development of process improvement opportunities related to health equity to support organizational goals
  • Facilitation and Relationship-building
  • Support and strengthen key partnerships across the health system, including with clinical, administrative, and operational leaders and teams, to ensure the delivery and performance of CHE services and programs.
  • Represent CHE in internal committees as needed to promote health equity, support integration of initiatives into enterprise operations, and provide thought partnership on CHE programs and services across the enterprise.
  • Facilitate CHE Initiatives
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide approach that integrates and aligns across all disciplines and clinical settings and ensures a consistent patient and family experience.
  • Leverage analytics to assess and inform program approach and priorities
  • Facilitate exploration and innovation around new and transformative health equity content delivery methods
Required Education and Experience
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
  • At least three (3) years project planning.
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Preferred Education:
  • Master's Degree

Preferred Experience:
  • working with diverse individuals

To carry out its mission, it is of critical importance for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to keep our patients, families and workforce safe and healthy and to support the health of our global community. In keeping with this, CHOP has mandated all workforce members on site at any CHOP location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment. This mandate also applies to workforce members performing work for CHOP at non-CHOP locations. Additionally, all workforce members based in or regularly scheduled to work at any New Jersey location are mandated to be both vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19, with booster timing consistent with applicable guidelines. The CHOP COVID-19 vaccine mandate is in alignment with applicable local, state and federal mandates. CHOP also requires all workforce members who work in patient care buildings or who provide patient care to receive an annual influenza vaccine. Employees may request exemption consideration for CHOP vaccine requirements for valid religious and medical reasons. Please note start dates may be delayed until candidates are fully immunized or valid exemption requests are reviewed. In addition, candidates other than those in positions with regularly scheduled hours in New Jersey, must attest to not using tobacco products.
