Job Description Summary

A three-year grand-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Haptosphere Lab, where the post-doc will participate in a research project involving haptics and psychophysics. The grant funded position will ideally start in early September for three years. The post-doc will work with Dr Mounia Ziat at Bentley University investigating the perception of tactile properties of edges during passive and active explorations.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the programming and the design of psychophysical experiments,

  • Participate in data collection and analysis

  • Prepare and complete scientific publications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, cognitive science, psychology, or related areas

  • Possess a strong quantitative background, expertise in psychophysics, experience with programming and haptic interfaces.

Work Environment

  • Typical office and lab setting with extensive sitting and computer work

  • Ability to travel within and outside of campus for meetings and other work related events
