Full Job Description

Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Senior Living Services and Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries.

General Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and supervision to clients and staff participating in adventure challenge and teambuilding activities in an outdoor rustic setting. Activities include climbing, canoeing, low and high ropes course, and multi-day trail experiences.
  • Provides instruction, training and technical support for these group activities as well as general upkeep and maintenance of all wilderness adventure gear and apparatuses.
  • Childline and DHS FBI clearance results required prior to beginning employment.
  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Program-need covid vaccine card or file for an exemption.
Education/Training: A BS or BA degree in a related field of study normally required.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years' experience in management of adventure-related programming for a variety of populations including delinquent/dependent teenagers and young adults normally required.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills

Compensation and Benefits:
