Position description

Associate/Full Professional Researcher – Atabai Lab

The scientist will be in charge of designing and executing experiments, interpreting data, and mentoring postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and technicians in the laboratory. Further responsibilities will be independently writing grant applications.

Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Physiology (or related field) and 10 years of experience in conducting biomedical research since graduating the PhD.
• The position will require extensive experience with all standard techniques of molecular and cellular biology as well as significant expertise with in vivo models of whole body metabolism and fibrosis in mice.
• The scientist will also need to have significant experience with big data management and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Track record of independent research.
• Completion of post-doctoral fellowship.
• History of potential to develop a sustained source of research funding.
