Job Summary

The Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join Thermochronology at Purdue (T@P), the research group led by Professor Marissa Tremblay. The postdoctoral researcher will be an integral part of daily operations in the noble gas mass spectrometry and wet chemistry labs that are part of T@P. This will include making contributions to existing funded research projects as well as new research project(s) that capitalize on existing instrumentation and resources in T@P. A Ph.D. in Earth science or a related field must be conferred by the start date of the postdoctoral position. Experience in noble gas mass spectrometry and/or other types of gas source mass spectrometry is required, as are strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with computer programming languages such as Python is preferred. This is a 2-year position pending satisfactory performance after 1 year, and with the possibility of extension pending availability of funding. The start date is flexible. A background check is required for employment in this position.

Education
