Position Summary

The Manager of Law Media Services will oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s Media Services support desk and assume full responsibility for the design and maintenance of the school’s Audio Visual technology infrastructure. As head of the area, the Manager of Law Media Services will ensure all AV support requests, whether event or academic related, are attended to timely, accurately, and resolved to the customers’ satisfaction. Further, he/she will liaise with resources both within the Law School and at the University to ensure audiovisual services are provided at the highest levels possible.

Essential Functions

  • In concert with the CTO, plans, designs, and coordinates the implementation of audio visual technology that enables the school to fulfill its mission and service, as well as allow it to keep abreast with industry trends and standards
  • Assesses and coordinates all necessary audiovisual checks and repairs to ensure the school’s audio visual technology infrastructure functions at optimal levels
  • Oversees the Law Media Services daily tasks including but not limited to, tracking AV requests, actively monitor events/recordings, and personnel assignments to ensure requests are attended to promptly
  • In coordination with the event’s sponsor, oversees the pre-testing and the-day-of AV event duties to ensure successful completion of requested tasks
  • Liaises with the Office Manager to ensure customers are quoted and billed for services
  • Supervises daily checks to ensure microphones/clickers are returned to their original location
  • Manages the production of audio and video editing/recordings
  • Assists faculty, staff and sometimes student with their instructional technology needs
  • Administers and provides training on how to utilize classroom technology, engagement and polling applications, course management platforms, and the school’s email marketing tool
  • Spearheads personnel management duties including recruiting and training staff, management of staffing vendors, performance appraisals, etc
  • Analyzes and reports on AV service requests to ensure customer service standards are being met and to determine where improvements are needed
  • Creates and disseminates the requisite user documentation and guides

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of audiovisual experience with a minimum of two years of staff supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of IP Networks, AV switchers, AV control systems, wired and wireless microphones, projectors, cameras, speakers, interactive boards, recorders, TVs, etc.
  • Proficient with recording systems, audio and video editing software packages, digital signage solutions, live casting platforms, as well as web and video conferencing solutions
  • Expertise with Crestron products including DM switchers, control processors, panels, and Room View software system
  • Experience with BIAMP audio control systems and Canvas
  • Familiarity with Echo360 hardware and software recorders, as well as Echo’s engagement tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic audiovisual equipment/connectivity problems
  • Expertise with web conferencing platforms (Skype, Hangouts, WebEx, Zoom, etc.)
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard) and polling solutions/services
  • Demonstrated experience with presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, KeyNote, and Google Slides
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows & Office Suite, Web Browsers, Adobe, and other desktop productivity packages (Google Apps, Office365, etc)
  • Proven track record of working with customers/clients in a customer service capacity
  • Self-sufficient, innovative, and able to identify and complete tasks with little to no guidance
  • Ability to learn quickly with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service, mentoring, and coaching skills
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA, Network+, A+, PMP, ITIL, or Agile certifications are a plus
