Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the national umbrella organization for the nation’s leading network of women’s health care providers, educators, and advocates, serving women, men, teens and families. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seek an experienced Associate Director of Internal Communications and Change Management in the Office of the Chief Operating Officer to support various large organizational level change efforts and improvements in internal communication. This job reports to the Managing Director, Operations in the Office of the COO of PPFA. The Office of the COO provides leadership, coordination, management, and communication support to the Operations division, which includes the following departments: Events & Conferences, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Information Technology, Security, Internal Audit and Global Operations.

Purpose:
The Associate Director of Internal Communications and Change Management will play two key roles for the Operations division:
1. Ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
2. Ensuring internal communications within the National Office is coordinated and focused, driving towards a more informed and engaged workforce.

Delivery:
  • Change Management for large organizational transformation efforts, As a member of project teams,
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
  • Develop change management plans and communication strategies.
  • Develop communication deliverables and change interventions targeted at various audiences.
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Sustain quality of program through adaptation to changing operational demands and based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Internal Communications: Create and execute a communications strategy, approach, process, and protocol that drives and builds a more united, collaborative and engaged workforce.
  • Utilizing the National Office’s rich content base, manage the development of management and employee communications initiatives and campaigns, inclusive of written content, internal feature stories, executive communications, and more.
  • Help oversee and manage organization’s Intranet content and governance, which involves proactively working with content owners, moderating posts, and managing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Engagement:
  • Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams to align on communication opportunities and best practices, and ensure that we are speaking with the same voice to our various audiences
  • Works with Senior Leaders across the Operations Division on standardized communications and change management programs, resources, tools and processes.
  • Builds collaborative networks with clients on program approaches and communications planning.
  • Work with project managers and project teams across the Operations Division to plan for communications and training to ensure success of these projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • 5 years experience working in communications, change management, and/or organizational development
  • Experience with large-scale, complex transformation efforts
  • Expertise in communication and change management
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience working with Google Suite products (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides).
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, self-manage and prioritize workload
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, and organize and prioritize work assignments in an efficient and timely manner.

TRAVEL: As needed, up to to 10%
Starting salary: $95K

Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program.
