Company Information: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit youth and family support agencies, in 33 states plus DC, working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and we serve thousands of families a year in more than 100 rural, urban, and suburban communities nationwide. Our mission is to engage human services systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, youth people, young adults, families, and adults. Summary of Position: The Chief Impact Officer reports to the President, and delivers project management, strategic alignment, and implementation support for key organizational “impact projects” and change management initiatives as prioritized and assigned by the President. While this position is primarily an internally facing role, the successful candidate will have the capacity to lend expertise to YAP’s diversification, growth, and development and other goals.

The Chief Impact Officer will work in collaboration with National and Program Leadership to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation while creating a culture of “execution” in YAP.

In support of Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) new strategic plan, this position’s primary role will be to implement “impact projects” and change management initiatives that ensure that YAP delivers on our promise to implement projects on schedule, on budget, and in alignment with our values.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of relevant high-level leadership, management, and complex systems and problem solving experience.
  • Deep and demonstrated knowledge of YAP’s work and commitment to YAP’s mission
  • Expertise in managing skilled professionals and cross-functional teams with strength-based approaches.
