Position Qualification
Position Summary | The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is currently accepting applications for a faculty position in the integrated Center of Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD) as an Assistant/Associate Professor (Rank DOQ). Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in the iCASD department at the Munroe-Meyer Institute will involve: 1) Provision of clinical services diagnostic evaluations within an interdisciplinary team for individuals across the lifespan and their families, with particular emphasis on early childhood and school age; 2) Coordination and implementation of interdisciplinary parent training programs; 3) Oversight of clinical cases and implementation of behavior intervention services within the early intervention programs; 4) Commitment to supervision of graduate students, clinical interns and postdoctoral fellows within Munroe-Meyer Institute’s accredited training programs; 5) Development of clinical research within MMI and collaboration across other academic institutions, including applying for internal and extramural funding. About iCASD: The department is a collegial group of clinical educators and clinical researchers who seek to incorporate training and research activities into clinical service delivery within a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary center. MMI recently moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility and has prioritized expansion of innovative clinical and educational programs serving those with a wide range of physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral disabilities. All department faculty play an important role in education and provide clinical supervision for a variety of undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. The autism diagnostic clinic is part of the Autism Care Network (ACNet), which is focused supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their family through treatment and research. Some department faculty teach courses in the ABA Master’s degree program, as well as the ABA doctoral degree program, which prepares graduates for clinical, research, or faculty positions. Faculty members are encouraged to develop and participate in clinical research.
