Job Summary

Full-time position immediately available for a postdoctoral fellow to investigate pre-clinical mechanisms underlying plasticity after spinal cord injury. The fellow will be involved with spinal cord stimulation of the spinal cord as a treatment to improve spasticity and motor recovery after SCI.

Essential Functions

  • Perform survival surgeries
  • Perform electrophysiological experiment
  • Manuscript preparation
  • Perform animal care and handling duties
  • Perform molecular analyses
  • Perform data analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field
  • Two-three years of predoctoral experience with survival surgeries, molecular biology, histology, data analysis, manuscript preparation
  • The applicant should be highly motivated with a strong academic and publishing record and be able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong writing skills
