The role of Director of Marketing provides an exciting opportunity for a creative, ambitious and accomplished leader to have significant impact on our ambitious strategic aims.

Reporting to the Director of External Relations, and working closely with senior colleagues, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s marketing strategy, advancing our reputation, regionally, nationally, and worldwide. The Director will lead a high-performing, cross disciplinary team of around 80 professionals working across market research, web and digital, brand, campaigns and corporate events, student recruitment marketing and creative services.

Our new Director will lead the team to support the achievement of ambitious targets to diversify our student population and further build our international, and national, reputation. They will also lead on high-profile initiatives and events, including exciting new projects for our bicentennial celebrations in 2024.

The Director of Marketing will be a highly experienced strategic marketing professional with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams to deliver maximum business impact. With substantial experience working in a dispersed and complex organisational structure where authority is derived through influence and persuasion, you will possess the requisite communication and interpersonal skills to build social capital quickly across our academic and professional services communities. You will have a proven capability to lead and manage change while nurturing teams with a focus on continuous improvement.
