At Research and Development in the College of Education & Human Development, we assist in the development and submission of research proposals, coordinate award documentation and manage post-award financial activities. We provide workshops for faculty and graduate students on grant submission, grant-seeking, and create compelling, competitive proposals. And we serve as a liaison to schools and other stakeholders in your research programs. Required Education:

  • Appropriate PhD

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in Educational Psychology, Education or related field

  • Experience working with and supporting large-scale research

  • Experience in education related data collection, verification, and analysis; experience in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data

  • Experience coding observations recorded in educational settings (classroom/at-home learning)

  • Experience related to dissemination including developing proposals, manuscripts and presentations

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations; strong background in data collection, management, and advanced quantitative analysis; proficiency in utilizing statistical software (e.g., SPSS, HLM, STATA)

  • Conduct analyses, including but not limited to multiple regression, hierarchical linear modeling, and structural equation modeling

  • Proficiency in assessment development software, such as Teleform

  • Scientific writing and publication skills

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Organized; pays attention to details

  • Strong language skills in English

Responsibilities:

  • Research data management - Develop/maintain processes to develop student assessments using Teleform software. Develop/maintain processes to manage printing, batching, shipping, and tracking student assessments to ensure delivery, administration, and collection. Track and organization collection of recorded classroom observations

  • Research data analysis and coding - Manage process to inventory, verify, and scan student assessment data using Teleform software. Utilize advanced statistics to analyze large-scale project data, utilizing statistical software (e.g., SPSS, HLM, STATA); Conduct analyses, including but not limited to multiple regression, hierarchical linear modeling, and structural equation modeling. Support training of doctoral students in data verification and analysis. Support coder training and inter-rater reliability of coding using observation protocol. Delegate and distribute electronic observation files for coders to analyze

  • Support dissemination of research findings - Develop and submit proposals, present findings at research conferences and institutes. Develop high quality scientific manuscripts by preparing methods, analysis, and findings. Writing proposals, manuscripts, abstracts, and reports related to project. Perform other duties as assigned.
