Regional Program Coordinator

Job Description

The AIFS Foundation’s Academic Year in America (AYA) program brings international teens from around the world to the U.S. to live with a volunteer host family and attend high school each year. The role of the of Regional Program Coordinator with AYA is to place students with qualified host families and provide ongoing support for students throughout the program. The Regional Program Coordinator will work with a specific territory of field staff to reach goals


Job Responsibilities:

  • Virtually develop and oversee a designated territory to meet a student placement quota. Place students with quality host families by specified weekly and monthly deadlines ensuring that host families and schools are compliant with program regulations
  • Provide support to students and host families in conjunction with the field staff; ensure that field staff are providing proactive and exemplary support to students and host families as well as adhering to program guidelines
  • Manage administrative duties including school calls, lead follow up, documentation for school enrollment and routine customer service calls and outreach calls to host families, Local Coordinators and schools
  • Ensure that all program databases are updated and accurate
  • Late nights and evening hours during peak season.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • A college degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to problem solve through direct communication
  • Sound judgment and a proactive attitude
  • Self-motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team


Work Environment

This job currently operates in a hybrid work environment combining work from a home office and work in a professional office environment in Stamford, Connecticut each week. The weekday is Monday through Friday.
