Saint Louis University is a Catholic Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research,
health care and service. This Postdoctoral Fellow position is in the chemistry research
group led by Dr. Istvan Z. Kiss in the Department of Chemistry (https://www.slu.edu/artsand-
sciences/chemistry). This work involves modeling 2D and 3D corrosion spreading and formulation of mitigation strategies using morphological feedback.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop electrochemical models for spreading of corrosion waves and spots.
- Perform numerical simulations with partial differential equations describing the physics and chemistry of the corrosion process.
- Writing monthly reports about the progress.
Required qualifications: Ph. D. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: Ph. D. in Chemistry and experience in computational modeling of corrosion.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
