Position Summary Information
Objective
To provide admissions and records services to students, faculty, parents, and other offices.
Required Quals Summary
High School diploma/GED . 0 – 1 year related work experience.

Leave time includes 96 hours vacation, 40 hours discretionary and 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick each month. Paid leave for college designated holiday’s, spring break, Thanksgiving and Christmas break (approx. 25 days per year)

Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for processing electronic admissions applications received from ApplyTexas in a timely manner and provides oversight and training for the electronic application process as needed.

Responsible for processing admission reports related to the application upload on a daily basis.

Aids in tracking various types of admissions and records documents into Blinn College’s student information system (Banner).

Monitor and answer the College District’s admissions email inbox following all Blinn and policy and procedures.

Responsible for daily assistance in Admissions & Records phone queue.

Assist in Enrollment Services and/or Prospective Student Relations phone queue systems as needed.
Principal Accountabilities
Provides customer support by responding to messages and questions via telephone, email, and in-person regarding admissions and registration in a prompt and courteous manner.

Responsible for accurately scanning and indexing admissions, enrollment services, dual credit, and other student documents received in the Admissions and Records department in a timely manner.

Assists with distribution and processing received via mail and processing documents received through Dynamic Forms.

Responsible for running the process that sends electronic transcripts via SPEEDE.

Maintains a positive relationship with all Blinn College staff, faculty, and students.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Qualifications
Computer proficiency in all software programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Minimum of 1-year customer service, data entry, and telephone experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Banner/Compass or equivalent experience in Admissions & Records/Enrollments Services area. Ability to use Student Information System and other software programs applicable for Blinn College.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree and/or a High School Diploma or GED with minimum of 2 years directly related experience in Admissions & Records/Enrollment Services.
Preferred Competencies
Experience with FERPA.
