Position Summary:

We are seeking applications from highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Canines Providing Assistance to Wounded Warriors (C-P.A.W.W.: www.nursing.fau.edu/c-paww) Health Research Initiative for Veterans at Florida Atlantic University. Under the direction of PI Cheryl A. Krause-Parello, PhD, RN, FAAN in the Office of Research and Scholarship, the research concentration of this initiative is to investigate human-animal interaction and nonpharmacological approaches, with a focus on veterans’ health— which is integral to the investigator’s body of research work. Specifically, candidates will be involved in exciting and highly innovative interdisciplinary research and community engagement projects.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with grant writing/document editing/creation.

  • Assist with recruitment, data collection (biologic and psychosocial measures), data management (SPSS).

  • Assist with REDcap survey development and management.

  • Assist with project management.

  • Assist with manuscript preparation (including proficiency with a reference manager program).

  • Assist with COMIRB submission & adherence.

  • Conduct correspondence.

  • Assist in all aspects of research studies and projects.

  • Organize/manage study and project research files.

  • Travel to/co-present at conferences as needed.

  • Website and social media management.

  • Preform office management tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Eligibility for appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow requires the candidate to hold a terminal degree, e.g., Ph.D., M.D., DSW, EdD, DrPH, DNP. Terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Salary:

$54,000 - $60,000 per year.
