Position Qualification
Position Summary | The Department of Health Services Research and Administration in the UNMC College of Public Health is seeking an individual to serve as a postdoctoral research associate with an emphasis in health services research. Strong quantitative skills are essential. Experience in GIS analysis is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of more senior faculty on various projects relating to health system efficiency and effectiveness, in both the public and private sectors. It is also expected and encouraged that the individual will pursue independent and collaborative research, especially that leading to extramural funding, and will publish in scientific journals. The position is for 1 year with a possible second year based on performance. |

Required Qualifications | Qualifications for this position include a doctorate degree in health administration, health services research, public health or related fields. Evidence of strong quantitative skills is essential; experience in GIS analysis is highly desirable. Familiarity with publicly-available health care data bases such as Medicare is a plus. Salary is commensurate with National Institutes of Health salary guidelines. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. |
