Job Description:

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry, College of Pharmacy , University of Florida, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding potential to establish an externally funded research program, or have a record of a strong independent research program in drug discovery and development. The faculty hire will participate in professional and graduate teaching for the college. Area of specialization within medicinal chemistry is open and is expected to foster interdisciplinary research, ideally complement to current research programs. Current research programs in the department, including the Center for Natural Products, Drug Discovery and Development and the Translational Drug Development Core , span all stages of drug discovery and development, and molecular therapeutics. The department is located within the UF Health Science Center . This unique research environment offers excellent opportunities for synergistic collaborations.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience. 

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. related to medicinal chemistry and drug discovery

Preferred Qualifications:

Postdoctoral research experience, mentoring/training students, research related to machine learning, including general omics, natural-product related omics, and toxicology in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery OR the development and application of other innovative drug discovery platforms.
