Research Associate - Biomedical Engineering
Job Description
Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Biomedical Engineering is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing crucial support working on optical brain measurements on humans – including patient imaging.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Use optical measurements of hemoglobin changes to quantify intracranial pressure non-invasively
Work on data from human subject experiments, analyze optical data, present results to the lab and at conferences, write scientific papers
Summarizes statistical information for analysis, examination or presentation; writes technical reports. May build and validate quantitative models
Performs related duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in diffuse optical imaging, signals processing, and machine learning
At least one year of research, research lab and research methodology experience
Or a combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge
