Job Summary: | The incumbent will need to develop his or her own independent research program and will be required to attract and maintain external funding. |

Responsibilities: | The incumbent will be responsible for developing/maintaining a nationally recognized research program; collaborate with investigators in the department and at UW-Madison in relevant research areas; present research at national and international meetings, and publish results in leading biomedical journals appropriate to areas of application; teach relevant courses at undergraduate/graduate levels, and participate in the training and mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. |

Qualifications: | Years of experience will be commensurate with rank sought. Postdoctoral research experience as evidenced by authoritative publications in the field is required. All candidates must have proven success in conducting research appropriate to their stage of career. Associate/full Professor candidates must possess experience and scholarly credentials for appointment with tenure at UW-Madison. |
