The Psychoacoustics Lab at Boston University has an opening for a full-time Research Fellow to work on an NIH-funded project titled “Spatial Hearing in Speech Mixtures”. The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Virginia Best, and collaborate with other researchers in Boston University’s Hearing Research Center and at Mass Eye and Ear. The project is concerned with characterizing spatial hearing in hearing-aid wearers and exploring avenues to improve future generations of hearing devices. The role will include subject recruitment, hearing assessment, hearing-aid fitting, conducting behavioral experiments, analyzing data, and disseminating research findings
Additional Information: The position is for two years starting in November 2022, with the possibility to extend contingent upon external funding. The salary will be determined according to NIH postdoctoral stipends (starting at $54,840 per annum for a new graduate).
