Description
NIST’s Photon and Charged Particle Data Center has provided much of the data that is currently used to describe the interaction of photons, electrons, and light nuclei with matter. These uses range from the use of data for all materials over a wide range of energies, angles, and materials in transport simulations to comparisons of a single evaluated point with new experimental results. Advances in computational methodology and experimental facilities enable us to probe where updates to these standard reference data are needed. The purpose of this opportunity is to further the state-of-the-art in evaluating photonic, electronic and hadronic processes in the areas where identified deficiencies in the current data can be addressed.
