Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Description

A postdoctoral position is currently available in a research program focused on a variety of key aspects of HIV-1 assembly, release, and maturation. Of particular interest are the interplay between
viral and host factors in HIV-1 replication and the mechanism by which the viral envelope glycoproteins are incorporated into virions. Recent studies have been aimed at defining the cellular pathways and host factors involved in envelope glycoprotein incorporation and identifying inhibitors of virus maturation. Mechanisms of HIV-1 drug resistance are also under investigation, and studies are underway to define the target and mechanism of action of novel HIV-1 maturation inhibitors and to identify host factors that restrict HIV-1 replication.
